Investment in renewable energy capacity worldwide was $282.2 billion last year - a late surge in offshore wind financings helped 2019 investment to overtake 2018 by 1%. The world’s biggest market China slipped back 8% to $83.4 billion - the lowest since 2013. The U.S., the second-largest market hit a new record at $55.5 billion, up 28% on 2018, according to new figures published by BloombergNEF (BNEF).
